1. Relationship Before Role

I believe wellness emerges through connection. Trust, safety, and authenticity come before titles or credentials. We meet people where they are, without judgement, without hierarchy, and without forcing a predetermined path.

2. Land-Connected, Culture-Respectful Practice

While my own ancestry includes Irish and Scottish  and Mohawk roots, my work has been shaped by teachings received with permission, mentorship, and reciprocity. I honour Indigenous knowledges without appropriating them, and we commit to practising in ways that respect sovereignty, Nationhood, and lived experience.

3. Decolonial and Anti-Oppressive Approaches

I actively challenge systems that perpetuate racism, lateral violence, and cultural erasure. My philosophy encourages unlearning harmful narratives, validating lived truths, and supporting pathways back to identity, agency, and community strength.

4. Healing Through Story and Connection

Every person carries a story that matters. I create space for community to explore grief, trauma, joy, identity, and the complexities of life using approaches that are relational, narrative, creative, and experiential.

5. Accessibility and Community Care

Healing should not be a privilege. I strive to offer services that are flexible, accessible, and community-centred, while respecting individual boundaries, confidentiality, and the diverse realities people carry.

6. Whole-Self Wellness

I support wellness through emotional, mental, physical, spiritual, and cultural dimensions. Whether through one-on-one therapy, group circles, art-based practices, or community training, I hold space for the whole person—not just the symptoms.

Support for those managing challenging or high-conflict dynamics. Sessions focus on communication patterns, boundaries, co-parenting strain, and emotional regulation while centring safety, clarity, and empowered decision-making.

Approach

At White Cedar Healing, my approach is rooted in relational, culturally aware practice that honours the whole person—mind, body, spirit, and community. At White Cedar Healing, my approach is rooted in relational, culturally aware practice that honours the whole person—mind, body, spirit, and community. Healing is not something done to someone, but something created together. Each session, training, and circle is shaped through compassion, collaboration, and a deep respect for every person’s lived experience and autonomy.

Trauma-Informed & Nervous-System Aware

I work from a trauma-informed lens that prioritises safety, choice, voice, and empowerment. I support clients in understanding their nervous system, deepening emotional regulation, and reclaiming a sense of stability and grounding.

Culturally Humble & Decolonial

My work is informed by decolonial practice: challenging harmful narratives, validating lived realities, and creating space that resists lateral violence. While my own ancestry includes Irish and Scottish roots, my practice has been shaped by mentorship from respected knowledge-keepers and Elders. I integrate teachings with permission, respect sovereignty, and avoid making claims that are not mine to hold.

Relational & Community-Centred

Relationships are at the core of healing. Whether we are working one-on-one or in circle, I prioritise connection over perfection. I believe that healing happens in relationship—with others, with land, with culture, and with ourselves.

Holistic, Creative, and Land-Connected

No two people heal the same way. My approach blends clinical frameworks with creative, narrative, and land-connected practices. This may include grounding exercises, story work, art-based methods, regulation tools, cultural teachings shared with permission, and space for personal or intergenerational healing.

Strength-Based & Non-Judgemental

I believe every person carries strength, knowledge, and the capacity for growth. Together, we identify what is working, what feels heavy, and what possibilities exist. I walk alongside clients as they deepen their resilience and reconnect with their own inner guidance.

Accessible & Collaborative Care

My practice centres accessibility, transparency, and collaboration. I work with clients to determine what feels meaningful, sustainable, and aligned with their goals. This includes flexible approaches, client-led pacing, and open communication throughout our work together.

At its core, my approach honours story, identity, culture, and the quiet strength people bring with them.
Healing is not linear—but you don’t have to walk it alone.
